This is acceptable for work, I promise, except for language. It’s about the way the boss acts sometimes.
My boss is also named Steve, and he lost it yesterday about pricing for a dealer that works with our Cincinnati branch. I matched what they pay them, and we’re picking up the car from the Adesa auction and having them pick up the car later. So I had to call him back and say “My boss won’t call you but he wants to raise your cost by $100.” I then gave him the boss’ cell phone number.
So I get in today and he’s HOT!
This morning, he cussed out a different guy who’s sitting in a hospital bed with a MRSA infection that went to sepsis. He has only been able to move around for the past day.
A few weeks ago, this guy ordered a two-tone gray/black leather kit for a 15 Camaro convertible. It looks good and will be easy to sell if he backs out.
Looks close to factory two tone for the gray Camaro convertible.
The customer had been referred by a dealer that does a lot of business with us, and was actually a close personal friend of the sales manager that does a lot of stuff with us - like taking a base fleet-spec $43,000 Suburban and adding leather, heat, sunroof, and headrest DVDs, then sending it to get a lift, wheels, and tires.
So anyway -
He calls the dealer contact and then he’s silent. Then he starts apologizing. Turns out the guy may be losing his leg due to the infection. Steve walked out looking shameful.
Yet he didn’t apologize to flipping out on me and Jock - the ops manager - for not getting his credit card.

Wow.. work drama. Well, get Dick some love and he’ll soften up, at least that has been my experience.
Tangent: I need materials to redo my door cards and head liner, any suggestions on where from?
